Mistake 1 : Holding your breath in the water
How to fix it: Practice blowing bubbles by blowing toys and objects across the water then move onto blowing bubbles into the water.
Mistake 2 : Bent leg kick action
How to fix it: Practice leg action with floats and really encourage a nice straight strong leg action bending from the hips. Making sure to encourage a continuous leg action.
Mistake 3 : Breathing to the front
How to fix it : Practice with floats end encourage breathing to the side and keeping your ear in the water. To make it more fun, toys can be placed on the pool edge for children to look at as they swim along.
